Tuttomercato reported that Empoli Football Club has announced it has reached an agreement with ACF Fiorentina for the temporary acquisition of Lapo Deli. The player leaves Fiorentina after 12 years to play in Serie B. The deal includes an option to buy and a counter-option in favour of Fiorentina. The club communicated the news through its official channels.

Empoli are in talks to sign Fiorentina's young Italian midfielder Lapo Deli, who was born in 2006. The club is also pursuing Atalanta's young centre-back Relja Obric, another player born in 2006. Deli has represented Italy at the U18 level, for which he has 5 caps. According to Transfermarkt, Deli's current market value is €250k.
