PSV inquired this summer about Aston Villa's 22-year-old Dutch defensive midfielder, Lamare Bogarde. The Eindhoven club viewed him as a player who would be ideal for strengthening their squad. The player, who is under contract until mid-2028, was considered unattainable for PSV as Aston Villa wants a fee of around 25 million euros. A report stated that Brighton & Hove Albion and Sunderland have a specific interest. PSV could not compete with that level of interest, and a domestic transfer within England is the anticipated result.
