Kusini Yengi Transfer from Aberdeen to Stockport County
Rotherham United are targeting Kusini Yengi, a 26-year-old Australian forward from Aberdeen, as they look for attacking players in January because of fitness problems with their existing strikers. Matt Hamshaw's team is competing with five other EFL clubs for the player, who is reportedly not being selected at his current club. Among the interested parties are fellow League One sides Wigan Athletic, Stockport County, Blackpool, and Stevenage. Yengi was prolific for Portsmouth during their 2023/24 League One title-winning season. A Rotherham fan pundit described the player as having been a nuisance and a threat during that time, and also suggested that Yengi might not select the Millers because of their difficult league position relative to the other clubs that are linked with him. The forward has earned 11 caps and scored 6 goals for Australia. In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, Yengi has made 4 appearances without scoring. His contract with Aberdeen is set to expire in May 2028, and his market value on Transfermarkt is €400k.
