Fortuna Sittard announced on Friday that Swedish winger Kristoffer Peterson, 31, has extended his contract with the club until mid-2028. Peterson's previous contract was about to expire. He made his decision quickly after Fortuna indicated they wanted to continue with him. Peterson said that he and his family are completely at home there and feel at home in Limburg, adding that he is not yet done at Fortuna and wants to be important in the coming years and continue to grow with the club. Peterson joined Fortuna in January 2024 and has one cap for Sweden. In the current Eredivisie season, he has scored one goal and provided one assist in 13 appearances. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €800k.
