Antwerp are reportedly close to signing 18-year-old Japanese midfielder Koki Ando from Mito HollyHock. The club is keen to complete a deal quickly before the player's price increases, which aligns with technical director Marc Overmars' strategy of creatively targeting young players due to limited funds. Ando joined the first-division side from RKU Kashiwa High School in February and has impressed in recent months as a substitute, scoring two goals in eight appearances and being named the J League's Young Player of the Month for April. His contract with Mito HollyHock is due to expire on June 30, 2029, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €300k.
