Before the start of the 2026/2027 season, 20-year-old Russian Baltika forward Kirill Stepanov moved to Volga on loan. Stepanov played three matches for the Ulyanovsk club and did not have any goal contributions before he was recalled from the loan. This was the first of two loan moves for the forward within a two-month period. The second was a loan to Sibir Novosibirsk, which he joined on August 21, 2026. His contract with parent club Baltika Kaliningrad is set to expire on June 30, 2030, and his current market value is €250k, according to Transfermarkt.
