Ben Jacobs reports that Saudi international winger Khalid Al-Ghannam, 25, is in advanced talks for a potential transfer to Al-Ittihad. The discussions have been described as positive. Al-Ittihad has negotiated a price of $10m with Ettifaq, reduced from an initial $15m, and Ettifaq has also accepted that the fee can be paid in instalments. The deal is not yet complete, and other clubs including Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ahli are also interested. Ettifaq's readiness to sell is partly due to the funds facilitating the arrival of Jordan Larsson from Copenhagen; a fee for Larsson has been agreed upon, but the deal is pending league sign-off. Al-Ghannam joined Al-Ettifaq in January 2024 and has a contract with the club until June 2028. He has 8 caps for the Saudi Arabia national team. His current market value is estimated to be €2.50m by Transfermarkt.
