Real Valladolid is one of several clubs from Spain monitoring FC Hermannstadt's 21-year-old Romanian-Italian defender, Kevin Ciubotaru. Celta Vigo, Dutch sides Fortuna Sittard, Heerenveen, and Go Ahead Eagles, as well as unnamed clubs from Italy and Belgium, are also interested. These teams could pay the left-back's €450,000 release clause before the current transfer window closes. This interest follows a transfer to FCSB in December that failed; the transfer did not proceed after the clubs had agreed on the fee, but talks between the player and the team did not progress. Ciubotaru joined Hermannstadt in August 2023 and is under contract until June 2028. The Romania U21 international has made 20 appearances and provided one assist in the SuperLiga this season.
