Keita Kosugi Transfer from Djurgården to Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt's sporting director, Timmo Hardung, has announced the signing of 19-year-old Japanese left-back Keita Kosugi, who will join on January 1st from Swedish top-tier club Djurgardens. Kosugi, whose market value is €4 million, had moved to the Swedish team in March 2024 from his home club Shonan Bellmare. At Shonan Bellmare, he made an immediate impact, recording 62 competitive appearances, five goals, and seven assists. Hardung stated that the club has signed a young player with good technical ball handling and a high work rate. He added that Kosugi has already demonstrated his qualities as a regular in the Swedish league and in European competition and has significant development potential. The left-back has two caps for the Japan U23 national team and had also attracted interest from clubs such as Celtic, LOSC Lille, and Everton.
