In an interview with stolicasportu.pl, Śląsk Wrocław's 27-year-old Polish goalkeeper Karol Niemczycki was asked about a potential transfer to Legia Warszawa, a club he was close to joining at the start of his career. As a junior, Niemczycki had trained with Legia's first team for a week, but the transfer did not occur. In response, he said that he is currently focused on playing as well as possible for Śląsk and that while the future is unknown, his mind is presently in Wrocław. The goalkeeper's contract with the Ekstraklasa club is valid until mid-2028 and includes an option for a one-year extension. It is considered doubtful that Legia is currently interested in Niemczycki due to their strong goalkeeping options. Niemczycki joined Slask Wroclaw in July 2026 and has not yet been capped by the Polish national team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €300k.
