The transfer was not completed because Karlo Muhar requested a 200,000 euro signing bonus, a demand that was immediately rejected by FCSB's management. Becali stated that because the team has since changed its system, he no longer needs Muhar.

Karlo Muhar has unilaterally terminated his contract with CFR Cluj after not receiving his salary for more than three months. He stated that he needs to recover 300,000 euros from CFR Cluj and will appeal to FIFA.
