Karlo Muhar Transfer from Al Orubah to CFR Cluj
Sport.ro reports on the competitive pursuit of Karlo Muhar by Romanian football clubs FCSB and CFR Cluj. Karlo Muhar was highly sought after by both Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, and Neluțu Varga, the owner of CFR Cluj. Despite Becali's considerable offer, Varga was determined to strengthen his team and offered Muhar a contract worth one million euros annually, which convinced Muhar to join CFR Cluj.
Karlo Muhar, former midfielder of CFR Cluj, left Al-Orobah after one season and decided to return to the Romanian Superliga. Although he was wanted by FCSB, he refused their offer and signed a two-year contract with CFR Cluj, earning a monthly salary of 50,000 euros and a signing bonus of 800,000 euros. The transfer was commented on by Ioan Varga, who emphasized action over words, contrasting with Gigi Becali's public statements.
CFR Cluj is also interested in bringing Karlo Muhar back. The interest is contingent on Al Orubah's relegation, which has been confirmed, allowing Muhar to potentially leave on a free transfer. Al Orubah, Muhar's current team in Saudi Arabia, was relegated after losing a match by default against Al Nassr, due to a player eligibility issue. This relegation means that Muhar, who had previously spent two seasons at CFR Cluj, is now free to leave his club. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 1.70 million euros.
