According to L'Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais is close to completing the signing of 19-year-old winger Kaïl Boudache from OGC Nice. Negotiations for a first professional contract between the player and Nice have reportedly stalled. Boudache, who has made 15 appearances and scored two goals since being introduced to the first team in January, has a verbal agreement with Lyon after being presented with a sporting project described as appealing in which manager Paulo Fonseca plays a central role. The winger passed his medical examination with the club on Monday and is expected to sign a contract lasting until 2029, which includes an option for two further years. Although nothing is signed yet, an official announcement is anticipated for early July. The French-Algerian player, who has one cap for France U17, has also attracted interest from clubs including Sporting Braga and Atalanta. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €4.00m.
