FCSB had Dutch central defender Justin de Haas from Famalicao as a transfer target. Mihai Stoica confirmed that the Romanian champions conducted talks for the 26-year-old, but the negotiations ended quickly. Stoica explained that the offer was not convincing because the player desired a move to a top-five league or a sum of money that FCSB was unable to provide. Following the failure of the transfer, reports from the Spanish press indicate that de Haas is expected to join Valencia. The publication Deporte Valenciano noted that the La Liga club considers him a long-term investment for their defense. De Haas joined Famalicão in July 2023 and his contract runs until June 2026. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €5.00m.
