FC Barcelona is considering Napoli's 34-year-old Brazilian defender Juan Jesús as a potential reinforcement during the winter transfer window, a move prompted by a long-term injury to Andreas Christensen. The club is reportedly searching the Italian and German markets for a new centre-back, with the veteran Jesús identified as a candidate. He has recently seen limited playing time under coach Antonio Conte and his contract is due to expire in June. Jesús is one of four or five options currently being evaluated by Barcelona. The defender, who joined Napoli in August 2021, has been capped four times by Brazil and has made 10 appearances in Serie A so far this season. His market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
