Joshua Zirkzee Transfer from Manchester United to Crystal Palace

According to sources, both Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Manchester United's Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee. His representatives are hopeful a transfer can be completed before the transfer window closes. TEAMtalk reported that both clubs have enquired about the 24-year-old's availability, contingent on United approving a late transfer. The striker wants to find regular first-team football to improve his chances of being selected for the Netherlands' World Cup squad. United have been unwilling to weaken their squad in January. However, sources close to the player believe the club might change its stance, partly because the team has performed well while Zirkzee was unavailable with a minor muscle issue under interim manager Michael Carrick. Both Crystal Palace and Spurs are monitoring the situation and are prepared to act if it changes. Crystal Palace is looking for a new striker in the final week of the window because Jean-Philippe Mateta is expected to depart, while Spurs are also looking to reinforce their attack. Other clubs are also interested; Roma, which has a long-standing interest, is continuing to attempt a transfer, and Juventus has also made enquiries. Zirkzee has 6 caps and 1 goal for the Netherlands. He joined Manchester United from Bologna in July 2024 for a reported fee of €42.5 million, and his contract is valid until June 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €25.00m. A potential loan-to-buy deal with Roma in January 2026 was reportedly valued at around €38 million. In late 2025, Manchester United's asking price was reported as being between €30 million and €40 million.
