According to Ekrem Konur and @fussball_news, Real Madrid is targeting Chelsea's defender Josh Acheampong. The report states that contract extension talks with Chelsea have stalled and Chelsea is seeking a €40M-€50M fee.

According to a report from Defensa Central, Josh Acheampong is a player Jose Mourinho could consider for Real Madrid as a replacement for Dani Carvajal. The report states Mourinho knows that relying solely on Trent Alexander-Arnold is risky due to his physical problems and inconsistency, and that signing a right-back is one of his demands for the summer. It is also mentioned that Acheampong, who is 20 years old, would secure a future starting position, has experience at the top level, and would be priced at around €25 million (£22m, $29m). Mourinho would reportedly be delighted with a player fitting the style and intensity he demands. In March, however, transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke reported in Football Insider that Chelsea have no interest in selling Acheampong, adding that Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are among the clubs interested in him.

Transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Chelsea have no interest in selling Acheampong, and added that they do not want to lose the player.

A report from CaughtOffside, which cited sources close to the agents industry, states that Real Madrid is closely monitoring Josh Acheampong due to his contract situation. The report adds that Real Madrid views him as a possible long-term addition capable of strengthening their defensive depth. It also suggests that potential offers of around €25-30 million could challenge Chelsea’s resolve, particularly if multiple clubs formally enter negotiations.
