Manchester City is among several Premier League clubs that have been impressed by Acheampong's development. The interest from City reportedly follows Chelsea's enquiry for City's star player, Rico Lewis, who might instead be joining Nottingham Forest. Other clubs, including Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Bournemouth, are also monitoring Acheampong. Bournemouth, in particular, is noted to have had a loan approach rejected. Meanwhile, Maresca, a coach at City, is reportedly keen on Acheampong and hopes to persuade Chelsea to retain the talented 19-year-old at Stamford Bridge, with the aim of developing him into a starting player in the future.
