According to L'Équipe, James is heading to Leicester on a loan deal with a purchase option exceeding 5 million euros. His contract with the French club runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €8 million. Parma, Wrexham, and Ipswich Town had also been recently linked with the player.
