According to French sources, Jordan Ferri's transfer to OFI is not proceeding as no agreement was found with Sampdoria. While Italian reports had indicated that the two sides were close to a loan deal, French reports state the situation has reversed. Journalist Bryan Bellard of 'Le Telegramme' claims that the French midfielder will not move to Heraklion, as no solution was found with the club from Genoa, and also claims that another solution is now being sought for the 34-year-old midfielder's future.

OFI Crete, which was searching for a new midfielder, is nearing the completion of a loan deal for 33-year-old French midfielder Jordan Ferri from Sampdoria. Ferri joined the Serie B club last summer as a free agent from Montpellier and has made six appearances. The publication @ilsecoloxix states that the deal for the player's move to Greece is nearing completion, with the Greek club set to cover €50,000 of his salary, while the remaining €125,000 will be paid by Sampdoria. Ferri's contract with the Italian club is set to expire in June 2027. He has been capped seven times for the France U21 team, scoring one goal, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €500k.
