Bayer Leverkusen has informed German international Jonas Hofmann, 34, that he should leave. There have been inquiries for the player from within the Bundesliga, including from Werder Bremen, as well as from abroad. Hofmann has not found any of the options appealing so far. The current expectation is that he will fulfill his contract, which is valid until 2027. Despite the club's stance, coach Carles Martínez recently praised the offensive player in a personal conversation. Hofmann has 23 caps and 4 goals for Germany.
