Voetbal International reports that big Championship clubs Leicester City, Southampton, Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Birmingham City have all made enquiries to sign Joel Piroe this month. The 26-year-old has rejected all of their advances because he is not in a rush to leave Elland Road this month.

Joël Piroe, a 26-year-old Dutch forward for Leeds United, is considered an alternative transfer target for Leicester City if they do not sign Callum Wilson. It is reported that the club wants to sell him. Piroe has been connected with a move to Leicester for years. He joined Leeds from Swansea City in August 2023 for a fee that was reported to be €14 million, and his contract runs until June 2027. This season, Piroe has made 10 appearances in the Premier League and has been capped by the Netherlands at U20 level. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €15.00m. A report in January 2026 stated that Leeds would likely have to accept a loss on the player and estimated his value at around £13 million. Several other clubs, including Middlesbrough and Southampton, have also been recently linked with him.
