As Palmeiras seeks to sign new defenders, the club is monitoring 26-year-old Brazilian defender Joaquim of Tigres. The Alviverde are also monitoring Vitão from Internacional, as a deal for their primary target, Nino of Zenit, is considered very difficult to finalize in January. Joaquim joined the Mexican club in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €5.50m. He has made 21 domestic league appearances for Tigres in the 2025/2026 season.
