João Resende has finalized a temporary transfer to Pontevedra, a team competing in the Primera Federación, the third division of Spanish football. The loan agreement does not feature an option for purchase. Resende had joined Estrela da Amadora earlier this summer but decided to leave after only a few weeks due to limited playing opportunities, as he had only participated in ten minutes across two league games. At 22 years old, the forward was part of Estrela da Amadora's extensive recruitment effort, which added over twenty players to their roster for the current season. Nevertheless, he found it challenging to secure a position in the squad, especially in his favored attacking roles. Resende's limited playing time occurred during the initial matches against Estoril and Benfica, where he was deployed as a right winger. His transfer to Pontevedra coincides with the closing of the transfer window, signifying a new phase for the player in the Galician region of Spain for the remainder of the season.
