Jay Gorter is set to continue his career at Pafos. The goalkeeper, who is leaving Ajax on a free transfer, is scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Wednesday before signing a three-year contract in Cyprus. Gorter, who joined Ajax from Go Ahead Eagles four years ago for a fee of one million euros, played sixteen matches for Ajax during his tenure. He also spent half of the 2023 season on loan at Aberdeen. Pafos, the reigning champion of Cyprus, is preparing to face Maccabi Tel Aviv FC in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, but Gorter will not be able to participate in this round. He has already arrived in Cyprus to complete the transfer.
