Jan-Carlo Simić Transfer from Anderlecht to Al Ittihad

Jan-Carlo Simic, a young defender from Anderlecht, is on the verge of a transfer to Al-Ittihad. The deal is described as almost complete, with the fee reportedly exceeding 20 million euros. Lazio showed interest but was unable to proceed due to a transfer ban. AC Milan will receive 20% of the profit from this sale, having sold Simic to Anderlecht for 3 million euros a year ago. The news was confirmed by La Dernière Heure and journalist Romain Van der Pluym, who described Al-Ittihad's offer as 'gigantic and impossible to refuse.'

Saudi club Al-Ittihad is pursuing an immediate deal for Jan-Carlo Simić, a 20-year-old Serbian defender who is a high-priority target for the team. Talks with his current club, Anderlecht, are currently underway, according to Fabrizio Romano. Al-Ittihad's push is an effort to get ahead of Lazio, a club that was interested in the player over the summer but could not make an offer due to a transfer ban and was considering a move in January. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Anderlecht is seeking a transfer fee of between 10 and 12 million euros. Any potential transfer must be finalized before the Saudi transfer window closes on Thursday evening. The Belgian club has already prepared for a potential departure by signing Mihajlo Ilic on loan from Bologna. Simić's existing contract with Anderlecht is valid until June 30, 2029, and his market value is listed at €8 million by Transfermarkt. RB Leipzig has also been mentioned in connection with the player.
