James Rodríguez Transfer from León to América
According to information from Paco Montes, the time of 34-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder James Rodríguez at Club León is reportedly coming to an end due to complications with his contract renewal, with a final decision on his future expected by October 30th or 31st. Before these issues arose, clubs such as América and Tigres, along with some teams from the MLS, were considering making an offer for the player. A source close to Club América informed Diario RÉCORD that the club currently has no interest in the León player. The source also did not rule out potential future interest from the board, particularly because there is a strong chance his contract will not be renewed. His contract is set to expire on December 31st, after which he will be free to sign with any club. If he becomes a free agent, Tigres, as well as U.S. clubs like New York City, Chicago, and Orlando, would also be among the teams considering him. In the current Liga MX Apertura season, Rodríguez has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 12 appearances. The Colombian international has 120 caps for his country, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m.
