IF Elfsborg is selling 21-year-old Ghanaian centre-forward Jalal Abdullai to Molde for approximately 40 million kronor. All parties have reached an agreement on a deal that includes several bonuses which could increase its value. Provided nothing unforeseen happens, the transfer is expected to be announced within the coming week. Molde had previously made a bid for Jalal Abdullai, offering a purchase option of around 30 million kronor in a deal that would have made the striker one of Molde's best-paid players. At that time, the Borås club declined the sale. Abdullai's contract with IF Elfsborg was set to expire on December 31, 2028. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m. Several other clubs, including Preston North End, Middlesbrough, and FC Copenhagen, had also been linked with the player.
