Jahnoah Markelo, a 23-year-old Dutch-Surinamese winger, has joined Coventry City, a team in England's second division, for a transfer fee of 5 million euros. He joins from Zurich, where he scored six goals and provided eight assists in 43 appearances. Before his move to the English club, Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates also had interest in Markelo. Markelo, who has not yet been capped by the Suriname national team, has signed a contract until June 2030. In the current Super League season, he has recorded 2 goals and 3 assists in 14 games. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €1.50m.
