FC Köln has reached an agreement with a new, unnamed defender. A link has been made to Jahmai Simpson-Pusey of Manchester City. The Telegraph reported that Köln wants to loan the 20-year-old English centre-back. Simpson-Pusey has been on loan at Celtic in Glasgow since the summer, and Manchester City intends to end the loan early because the centre-back has only made one competitive appearance. According to the English daily newspaper, Köln faces competition for the player from Racing Strasbourg and from clubs in the English Championship. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00m.
