Nottingham Forest is one of several clubs interested in Angers' 22-year-old left wing-back, Jacques Ekomié. The English club has competition from newly-promoted Coventry, while in Germany, Hamburg and Schalke 04 are also monitoring the player. RC Strasbourg is in positive discussions for the Gabonese international, who has 21 caps for his country. Villarreal in Spain is also an interested club, and the player is said to be particularly attracted to their project. Angers understands it will be difficult to retain Ekomié, who is contracted until 2027, and wants to receive a fee between €7 million and €10 million for his transfer. The player joined Angers in July 2024 and has a current market value of €7.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
