Everton have become the only side prepared to meet Man City’s financial demands for Jack Grealish. Several clubs, including Sunderland, explored a move for Grealish this summer. Sky Sports had reported that Sunderland were exploring both loan and permanent options, with their Europa League campaign seen as a possible advantage.

According to Football Insider, Sunderland are confident they will sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City ahead of Everton.

English winger Jack Grealish, 30, was not included in Manchester City's squad with four days remaining in the transfer window, amid links to Sunderland, Everton, and Aston Villa. Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed he had a discussion with Grealish and stated that they would see what happens in the next 72 hours. Grealish, who joined Manchester City in August 2021, has a contract with the club until June 2027. Recent reports from July 2026 suggest Everton would only consider a permanent deal for a maximum of approximately €12 million (£10m), while in April 2026 it was reported they were preparing a permanent offer between approximately €18 million and €24 million (£15-£20m).
