According to Italian journalist Lorenzo Lepore, French club Auxerre and Belgian side Gent are interested in Varaždin's 24-year-old Cape Verdean international winger, Iuri Tavares. Lepore also indicates that Hajduk has shown serious interest in acquiring the player. Slobodna Dalmacija notes that Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value to be 800,000 euros. Tavares, who joined Varaždin in July 2025, is under contract until May 2028. In the current 2025/2026 SuperSport HNL season, he has made 12 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists.
