In an interview for weszło.com, Piast’s sporting director, Łukasz Piworowicz, revealed that Igor Drapiński could leave the club during the summer window and said that Drapiński is attracting interest from both Polish and foreign clubs, including from outside Europe. In recent months, clubs such as FC Copenhagen have been mentioned in the context of Drapiński. His current contract with Piast is valid until June 2029 and is said to contain a release clause worth one million euros.

Tuttomercato reports that Copenhagen has a renewed interest in making a deal for Igor Drapinski, and that the club had attempted to finalise a deal for him a few months ago but did not reach an agreement.

Igor Drapiński is being monitored by several clubs, including FC Copenhagen, AGF Aarhus, RB Salzburg, and Pisa. AGF made a concrete approach for the 21-year-old Poland U21 centre-back in the winter, but the player decided to remain at Piast Gliwice. Drapiński has 8 caps at that level. A transfer in the summer is now considered a realistic possibility. He joined his current club in July 2024, and his contract is valid until May 2029. According to reports in April 2026, his contract includes a release clause of €1 million. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €1.50m.
