Emil Krafth, a 32-year-old Swedish right-back who has been linked with FC København on multiple occasions, was mentioned as a target for the Copenhagen club at the start of 2026. The defender, who has 52 caps for Sweden, left Newcastle in the summer and has been a free agent since, having recovered from a severe knee injury that required surgery at the start of 2026. Krafth is now seeking a new club and has stated that he has received several inquiries from both Swedish and foreign clubs. He confirmed his former Swedish club Öster was among those that contacted him, but noted that the timing for the approaches he has received so far has not been right. The free agent is now giving serious consideration to where he wants to play next, adding that any move must be right for his career and his family. His current Transfermarkt market value is €600.0K.
