Schalke 04 has placed Malian international defender Ibrahima Cissé on the transfer list. Africafoot has reported that he will not extend his contract and could move during the winter transfer window. In an interview with Africafoot, Cissé confirmed he will not be extending his time with the club. He also stated that although he is in contact with several clubs, nothing has been finalized. He added that he is receptive to all offers, particularly those with the best sporting projects. Several clubs have contacted the player's representatives to ask about his status, including the French clubs Nantes, Reims, and Metz; the Belgian clubs Zulte Waregem, Standard de Liège, and Cercle Bruges; and the English club Bristol City. An earlier exclusive from Africafoot stated that Vitoria Guimarães is also interested in the defender. Cissé's contract runs until 30 June 2026, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €350,000.
