Ibrahim Diabaté has completed a transfer from Gais to Deportivo Alavés on a loan deal until the summer that includes an option to buy. Augsburg and Leicester were also reportedly interested in loaning the player, while a transfer to Sharjah FC had reportedly been completed and then collapsed. Gais sporting director Magnus Sköldmark said the club views the move as a very good step for Diabaté's development and that the deal's structure is beneficial for all parties.
