Gazzetta.gr has reported that Gent is interested in acquiring Ibe Hautekiet, provided certain conditions are met. Ivan Leko, the coach of Gent, is reportedly convinced of Hautekiet's potential and is keen to bring him to the club. Nevertheless, the transfer depends on Gent's ability to make some sales first. Hautekiet, a Belgian defender and a product of Club Brugge's academy, has been a pivotal player for Standard Liège this season, having made 35 appearances in both league and cup competitions. Standard Liège has set Hautekiet's valuation between 2.5 and 3 million euros, with his contract running until 2027. Despite interest from other clubs such as PAOK and AEK, Leko is hopeful about convincing Hautekiet to join Gent once the club concludes some player sales.
