Club Brugge is interested in Iago Teodoro da Silva Nogueira, a 20-year-old Brazilian who is the captain of Flamengo's U20 side and is considered one of the most sought-after young players in South America. The central defender has also been monitored for some time by Premier League clubs Everton and Brentford. Flamengo has rejected a bid from Bahia of approximately €2 million plus a sell-on percentage. The club views Iago as more than a typical youth player and will only consider substantial European offers. The defender has been capped 13 times by the Brazil U20 team, scoring three goals. He has a contract with the club until the end of 2026 and a current market value of €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
