Hugo Guillamón Transfer from Valencia to Espanyol
Sportske Novosti reported on Hugo Guillamón's decision concerning potential transfers to other Spanish clubs. The 25-year-old defensive midfielder had opportunities to move to Espanyol, Levante, or other Spanish first division teams but decided against it as he did not want to compete against Valencia. Instead, he chose to join Hajduk Split. Guillamón, who has 125 La Liga matches under his belt and was part of Spain's World Cup squad in Qatar, will be joining Hajduk as a free agent after Valencia covered the cost of his contract termination. He is anticipated to sign a multi-year contract with Hajduk, with Ivan Rakitić playing a significant role in this transfer. Although Guillamón had one year remaining on his contract with Valencia, he was not included in coach Carlos Corberán's plans, prompting the club to let him go. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.5 million.
