Hong spent the second half of the 2025/2026 season on loan at KAA Gent, where he recorded one goal and one assist in 19 league and playoff appearances. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m. While Hong's contract with the Rheinhessen club runs until 2028, it is considered unlikely that he will remain at the club after the current transfer window.
