Henry Onyekuru Transfer from Al Feiha to Gençlerbirliği

Fanatik reports on the signing of Henry Onyekuru by Gençlerbirliği. Henry Onyekuru, a 28-year-old Nigerian forward, has signed a 2-year contract with Gençlerbirliği. The club is newly promoted to the Turkish Süper Lig and is strengthening its squad with new transfers. Onyekuru has previously played for Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor in the Süper Lig, and his career started at ASPIRE Academy in Qatar. He has also played for Eupen, Everton, Anderlecht, Monaco, Olympiakos, and most recently, Al-Fayha.

Henry Onyekuru, who has had previous stints with Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor, is reportedly poised to make a return to Turkey, joining Gençlerbirliği, after becoming a free agent. The transfer has been notably influenced by his former teammate, Peter Etebo. The Nigerian forward, whose last club was Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia, became a free agent following the expiration of his contract. Sources indicate that Gençlerbirliği has largely finalized an agreement with Onyekuru, marking his sixth entry into the Turkish Süper Lig. Peter Etebo, Onyekuru's former teammate, played a pivotal role in facilitating this move, underscoring the strong bond between the two players.
