Arminia Bielefeld has signed defender Henri Koudossou from FC Augsburg on a long-term contract. Both clubs agreed not to disclose the transfer fee. According to Arminia Bielefeld's sporting director Michael Mutzel, Henri Koudossou had been under observation for several years and is expected to strengthen the team immediately. Henri Koudossou stated that talks with Michael Mutzel and coach Oliver Kich quickly convinced him to continue his career in Bielefeld.

Right-back Henri Koudossou, 26, who has German and Togolese citizenship, is leaving FC Augsburg after six years for a permanent move to Arminia Bielefeld, where he signed a long-term contract. Koudossou spent the previous season on loan at 1. FC Nürnberg, but the club considered another loan or a permanent signing to be too expensive. During the 2025/2026 season at Nürnberg, he made 14 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. Nürnberg's sporting director, Joti Chatzialexiou, stated that while there was a possibility of keeping the player, they decided against it because of his price, preferring to find a free agent instead.
