Hasan Kuruçay is on the verge of signing a contract with Schalke 04 that will last until 2027, having successfully completed his medical examination. Since Kuruçay has been a free agent since July 1, Schalke 04 is not required to pay a transfer fee. Despite making 26 appearances last season, his previous contract with OH Leuven in Belgium was not renewed. The 27-year-old Turkish defender, who is 1.87 meters tall, has experience playing in Germany's second division with Eintracht Braunschweig, where he made 44 appearances between 2023 and 2024. Kuruçay is set to become Schalke's third summer acquisition for the center-back position, joining Timo Becker and Nikola Katic.
