Reacting to a media report about him possibly continuing his career in the Azerbaijan championship, Georgiy Bushchan stated that he does not know what will happen tomorrow. He also cited a saying that one should not read Soviet newspapers.

Ukrainian goalkeeper Heorhii Bushchan is expected to continue his career in the Azerbaijan Premier League. It is reported that the 30-year-old has already reached a preliminary agreement with one of the local clubs. Bushchan's contract is with the Saudi club Al-Shabab and is valid until the summer of 2027. The goalkeeper has 18 caps for Ukraine. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
