George Pușcaș Transfer to Legia Warszawa
Legia Warszawa began searching for a new striker in September due to player health problems and considered George Pușcaș as an option. Sporting director Michał Żewłakow explained that while they looked at Pușcaș, his profile was considered too similar to Rajović's, and the club wanted players who would complement each other. Żewłakow noted that Pușcaș had been under contract in Turkey for a long time, had significant financial demands, and was not their top choice. The sporting director also mentioned the club's wage budget was under significant pressure. Legia explored if Pușcaș would be willing to lower his demands for a performance-based deal, but he was not interested. Rapid Bukareszt also expressed interest in the 29-year-old Romanian international. The player is now expected to move to China after the new year, and final negotiations are said to be in progress. Pușcaș has 46 caps and 11 goals for his country and has been without a club since September 2025. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €900k.
