Derby County have been linked with Gavin Bazunu, a 24-year-old Southampton goalkeeper, amid speculation concerning their current player, Jacob Widell Zetterstrom. The Rams are interested in a deal for the Irish international, who has 22 caps for his country. He has been displaced as the number one at his club by Daniel Peretz, who made a permanent move from Bayern Munich in the summer. The interest in Bazunu coincides with reports that Derby are preparing for the potential departure of Zetterstrom before the season begins. Bazunu joined Southampton in July 2022 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Stoke City, where he made six appearances.
