Celtic are considering a transfer for Gavin Bazunu, a 24-year-old Irish international goalkeeper who plays for Southampton, as Southampton wants to sell the player after signing Daniel Peretz as their first-choice goalkeeper for the summer. Celtic could propose a transfer for two players that also includes full-back Yukinara Sugawara, to persuade Southampton, as the club wishes to reduce its wage expenses by selling both players due to a decrease in their parachute payments this term. Bazunu has 22 caps for his country, is under contract until 2027, and has a current market value of €8.00m according to Transfermarkt. According to reports from August 2026, Southampton's asking price was approximately £7 million. Dinamo Zagreb have also been linked with the player.
