Gaston Ávila, currently on loan at Fortaleza from Ajax, is being considered for a transfer back to his former club, Boca Juniors. Boca Juniors recently appointed Miguel Ángel Russo as their new head coach, who is interested in reuniting with Ávila. The Argentine club can potentially acquire him this summer, despite Fortaleza having an option to buy. Ávila played only a few matches for Fortaleza and is not a regular starter.
