Gabrielzinho Transfer from Moreirense to Shanghai Port

According to A Bola, Shanghai Port has renewed its interest in signing Gabrielzinho, who was previously on loan at the club. The financial terms currently being offered are lower than the buyout clause that was negotiated previously, which the Chinese club refused to pay.

A Bola reports that Shanghai Port have decided not to activate the purchase option for Gabrielzinho. Gabrielzinho played this season on loan from Moreirense. Despite a good performance with 11 goals and 5 assists, he will not continue at the Shanghai club and will return to Moreirense, with whom he is under contract until June 2026.

Shanghai Port, the reigning champion of the Chinese league, announced the acquisition of Gabrielzinho, a 28-year-old Brazilian winger, on a loan deal from Moreirense. The agreement is set for one year, lasting until December, with Moreirense receiving financial compensation, although the specific amount was not revealed. Gabrielzinho, under contract with Moreirense until June 2026, made a notable impact in the first half of the season by scoring three goals and providing one assist in 21 matches. He is now embarking on a new phase of his career in China.

Gabrielzinho is poised to depart Moreirense to join the Chinese club Shanghai Port. The 28-year-old Brazilian winger leaves the Moreira de Cónegos team after half a season, having previously played for the club on loan from Rio Ave during the 2019/20 season. His contract with Moreirense was set to run until June 2026. Having spent two seasons in the United Arab Emirates before his return to Portugal, he is now set to join the Chinese champions. It is anticipated that he will not be included in the match squad on Friday against Arouca. The official announcement of the deal is expected to occur in the coming hours.
